ESL English for All Levels

Target International Student Center offers students several study options to meet their educational needs. Students can choose to enroll on a semi-intensive, intensive, or super-intensive basis. Whether they chose to take our only core classes or supplement them with a wide array of fun and challenging electives, all of our students are ensured to get an education that will prepare them for their next step in life.

Grammar

Target ISC uses the widely recognized Focus on Grammar textbook. We offer Grammar classes for 6 levels. Our grammar classes give students a strong foundation in the English language. Our experienced instructors will simplify complex grammatical structures to help you feel confident in your interactions at every level.

Top Notch

Top Notch is a core class which teaches integrated skills while focusing on improving communication. We offer 6 levels of Top Notch classes. Top Notch provides students with a platform to speak on a variety of subjects, while learning new vocabulary and putting grammatical forms to use.

Academic Writing

This class is a necessity for all prospective college students and those who want to express themselves at a higher level through writing. They will master a variety of essay styles as well as learn to write professionally and creatively.

Enrichment Courses

Enrichment courses at Target ISC are a way to make improve your English skills in the areas you need the most support. They also give students an opportunity to develop new interests and learn more about to American life. Tutoring is a popular choice for our lower levels. We also offer useful electives such as Current Events, Pronunciation Workshop, Journaling, Introduction to American culture, Vocabulary Building, Listening through Music, and others.

TOEFL Preparation

Target ISC's TOEFL preparation course integrates the four sections of the exam: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing so students are able to communicate through many forms at a higher level. This course includes test-taking strategies, practice tests, evaluation of sample essays and speaking responses, as well as thorough practice in skill-building exercises. Target ISC's experienced TOEFL instructors are committed to raising students' final score and help them get into the college of their choice.

TESOL Certification (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

Target ISC's TESOL program is a natural choice for people interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages in the United States or abroad. Our program is a Global TESOL College affiliate and is internationally accredited. Upon completing the program successfully, students earn a TESOL certificate that is recognized in the United States and other countries.

Our expert TESOL instructor will give you the tools you need to build confidence, knowledge, and experience in the ESL classroom. The curriculum includes useful teaching methodologies, classroom management skills, and activities to create a fun and successful lesson. Students also have the opportunity to practice teaching in a real classroom environment and put everything they have learned to use.

Business English

Perfect for the working professional or the college bound, this course prepares students for the business workplace and beyond. Topics include resume writing, giving a successful presentation, and business etiquette. Students will finish the course feeling confident that they are ready to pursue their professional goals.

Public Speaking

Target ISC's Public Speaking is an intensive course that gives you the ability to speak in front of small and large groups. Your confidence will grow as you learn to communicate effectively. Learn to give a persuasive argument, create a formal speech, tell jokes, and analyze and discuss great speakers. This course will give you the skills to hold people's attention and transform the way you talk.
