Introduction
Target ISC, a privately owned Language School, offers a uniquely successful to language learning which focus on interactive multimedia. Language students worldwide have participated in and benefited from our English, Target ISC is also authorized under Federal Law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students (student visa F-1)
Course Structure
Target ISC' unique interactive multimedia method emphasizes student participation in class. The target language is the only language spoken in class, so students notice immediate improvement in their language skills. All our teachers are native-fluent qualified professionals, carefully trained in our methodology. Target ISC students have free access to our Language Lab, and enjoy unlimited after-class activities that will help them improve their writing, listening and speaking skills.
Student Visa (F-1)
Only students attending the programs with a minimum of 18 hours per week of school work are eligible for the F-1 visa. For detailed information on how to apply for the Student visa,
Target ISC English Programs
Target ISC offers Intensive (minimum of 18 hours per week) and Semi-Intensive (4, 8, 12 hours per week)
Our Intensive programs are designed for local and non-resident students who want to attend English classes on a full-time schedule. International Students (non-residents) who want to attend these intensive programs are eligible for the Student visa F-1.
Our Semi-Intensive Programs are designed for local students only.
Target ISC programs consist of 6 levels of proficiency. There are classes for Beginner 01 levels), Intermediate 1 levels), Upper-Intermediate (1 levels) and Advanced (2 modules) students. The duration of each course, which refers to class time only, will depend on the program selected. A Language Lab is available to all students at no extra cost for further oral and written practice.
Placement Test
Students must take the Target ISC Placement Test at Target ISC or in their country of origin, if they contact an authorized agent. The Placement Test consists of oral and written exams, and is free of charge. Students must have paid the Application Fee to be eligible to take the placement test.
Registration
Registration is open the year-round and classes start in the beginning of every week. It is important to point out that international students have different program options
Underage Students
Students under the age of 16 will only be accepted if accompanied by or staying with an adult who will take responsibility for the minor during his stay in Boston. Target ISC does not accept responsibility for minors traveling by themselves.
Accommodation and Transportation
Target ISC does not provide accommodation or international transportation arrangements for its students. It is solely the students' responsibility to arrange for such services. Target ISC has visited a number of hostels/hotels around the school and in Boston and found them comfortable and suitable to students.
Health Insurance
All students must purchase health insurance, valid for the duration of their course. Students must provide their agents or Target ISC with proof of travel insurance coverage before they start their studies. Target ISC will not accept registration of students without travel insurance.
Our Location
Target International Student Center is located in the heart of Boston, a few miles south of Downtown, at 5 Middlesex Av... The neighborhood is a very safe residential/commercial area. There are a variety of conventional restaurants (American, Chinese, Italian and Latin-American fare) and fast food restaurants and pizzerias close to our school, as well as a full-size supermarket within walking distance. Vending machines and a cafeteria are available in the building. There is bus service to Downtown Boston
